Class Schedule: September - December 2010

Classes at Love’n The Kitchen are from beginner to advanced levels. Each course offers a theme based cooking experience, taught via live demonstration, with plenty of interaction and time for questions. You will leave with the recipes and inspiration to re-create the dishes for those you love. Please call to register for your favorite classes early, as space is limited. Love’n The Kitchen is a home based gourmet cooking school offered with state of the art professional equipment and a talented staff!


"That's Amore" Wednesday, September, 22nd 6:30-9:00pm $65
In Italian, "amore" means love. We are extending this to YOU, as we debut our new location and kitchen-which we love! Even more...4 courses of amazing Italian food, which needless to say...we love! We begin with tangy Braised Lemon Artichokes, then a heart warming Pancetta and Sage Polenta, followed with a steamy dish of Tagliatelle, and to leave you 'feeling the love': Chocolate Espresso Mousse with Orange infused Marscarpone Cream. A special keepsake gift will complete our special evening together.

"Breakfast with the D'Atri's" Friday, September 24th 9:30-11:00am $70
Jan and Momma are back! Internationally known, and Valley favorites, the D'Atri's again grace our kitchen with their humor, celebrity dishing, and food expertise. Our morning mini class features a 65 year old recipe for Momma's famous Sausages. Elvis used to have these shipped to him on tour! Our plate is completed with a unique twist on Ricotta Pancakes-melt in your mouth joy. Cookbooks will be available for purchase and autographing, as will Spatuloons.

"3 Course Lunch with the D'Atri's" Friday, September 24th Noon-2:30pm $95
Our day with Jan and Momma continues with an expanded lunch class, which they call the "Three S's: Salad, Soup, and Sandwiches". They create a Salad, in which their Famous Dressing Recipe is shared. Momma's Minestrone Soup is sure to become a family favorite. We wrap up lunch with a variety of party sandwiches-perfect as we head into the Holidays. A set of Spatuloons is included in your lunch fee ($11 value).

The time of year is upon us, where entertaining is comfortable and fun. This time Vincent showcases his expertise at the grill, with four courses that will ignite your passion for outdoor cooking. Expect practical tips, as well as heart-warming stories from his life in France. This exclusive event is not to be missed.

Going to the farmer's market, and getting inspired from the fruits and veggies of this season, is just part of the experience. In this class we explore using the 'freshest of the fresh': Pear and Squash Soup is certain to be a palate pleaser; next is a Gorgeous Galette; the Spaghetti Squash and Turkey Meatball is a sweet surprise...speaking of sweet, how about ending our day with Spicy Apple Cake drizzled with Caramel.

Join Executive Chef, Todd Henderson, of Freds at Barneys NY in Scottsdale, for this very interactive morning. We will learn the technique of Making Fresh Mozzarella, then pair it with locally grown tomatoes and basil. Todd will then enlighten us about various Olive Oils and Vinegars. Making Raviolis from scratch will be so fun, as we fill them with Shrimp, Lobster, and Scallops before bathing them in Sambuca Rosa Sauce. The last time that Chef Carter cooked for us, he featured recipes from Zinc Bistro. We now leave France for Mexico, as the multi-talented chef treats us to a lovely 4 course dinner. First is Almejas al vapor (a seafood and roasted corn dish); Second is Lamb Adobo; Third is a Porchetta with white bean puree and sweet garlic cream; He'll finish with a signature Pumpkin dessert with Scotch butter, Pomegranate and Cinnamon helado.

Let's all plan to have the smoothest 12 hours possible as we prepare for this most Blessed Holiday. For Christmas Eve, we have an elegant make ahead dinner: Slow Cooked Beef Short Ribs, to be served over Buttered Noodles; Santa will be certain to stop at your house for Cherry Filled Chocolate Cookies; then get the kids to bed, and wrap gifts while enjoying Caviar topped Toast Rounds; and for the early morning risers, we will have sweet and salty Bacon-Caramel Rolls...the perfect way to start the celebration!

4. CANCELLATION POLICY: If you must miss the fun, we will apply 50% of the cost of the class to a class in the following month or you may send someone in your place to the original scheduled date.  No refunds or credit will be given for cancellations less than 72 hours before a class.
